Privacy Policy
This policy explains what QuickSteps processes when you use the website, Chrome extension, workflow captures, and AI documentation features.
Data we collect
- Account data: email, name, organization, preferences, and subscription information when you create an account.
- Content you choose to capture: screenshots, page titles, URLs, user actions, non-sensitive field text, and metadata needed to generate your guides.
- Technical data: application logs, browser information, errors, performance, usage limits, and security events.
- Payment data: handled by our payment provider; QuickSteps does not store full card numbers.
How we use data
- To provide the service, sync captures, generate documentation, and enable exports or shares you request.
- To secure accounts, prevent abuse, diagnose errors, and improve reliability.
- To manage subscriptions, quotas, transactional emails, and support requests.
- To improve the product from aggregated or minimized metrics without selling personal data.
Chrome extension
- The extension captures only during a recording session started by the user.
- Chrome permissions are used to detect the active tab, show the capture UI, take screenshots, and sync steps to your account.
- We intentionally avoid password fields and recommend that you do not record secrets, payment details, or unnecessary sensitive information.
Sharing, subprocessors, and retention
- We may use subprocessors for hosting, storage, authentication, email, payments, AI, and observability.
- Projects remain private unless you explicitly enable a share link or public export.
- Data is retained while your account or projects exist, unless legal obligations or applicable deletion requests require otherwise.
Your rights
- You can request access, correction, export, or deletion of your data.
- For privacy or support requests, contact support@quicksteps.app.
